Gutfeeling Labs explores the role of gut microbes in health and disease by genetic analysis of faecal samples. It provides individualised information on both bacterial composition and on functions of the intestinal flora that could potentially promote well-being.
Walter Fischer is a neurosurgeon, associate professor of neuroscience at Lund University and with a special interest in immunotherapy in cancer. His interest in the role of the gut flora and the immune system resulted in the co-founding of Gutfeeling Labs (with twin brother Hans Fischer), specialising in the analysis of the microbiome by Next Generation Sequencing.
